The Thumbtack is a throwing weapon in the Beat the Boss series, barring Beat the Boss 3. When used, a thumbtack of a random color flies in a straight line until it hits an object. On average, it takes about 26 thumbtacks to defeat the boss.
In the first game, if a bigger thumbtack damages the boss, 10 coins will automatically spill out.
